To fuel this ambitious project, Vaishnaw revealed that India has secured 18,693 graphics processing units (GPUs) through a common computing facility, ensuring the country has the computing power necessary for large-scale AI development. These powerful GPUs will enable the creation of a cutting-edge AI model, empowering various sectors such as healthcare, education, and manufacturing.

The move is part of the government’s broader efforts to support the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who aims to democratize technology and make AI solutions affordable and accessible to all.
