Security Tightened at Ramlila Maidan for High-Profile Swearing-In Event

New Delhi, February 20, 2025: Delhi is set to witness a historic political moment today as first-time MLA Rekha Gupta takes oath as the city’s ninth Chief Minister. Gupta transitioned into mainstream politics as a municipal councillor from North Pitampura in 2007, where she focused on urban development and public welfare initiatives. She was re-elected in 2012 and later became the Mayor of South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC).
