
“Discussed Space, Innovation”: PM Modi On “Very Good” Meeting With Elon Musk

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk during his two-day visit to the United States. Their discussions, held at Blair House, focused on key areas including space exploration, mobility, technology, and innovation. The meeting took place just hours before PM Modi’s scheduled bilateral discussions with US President Joe Biden.

Taking to social media platform X, PM Modi described the interaction as “very good,” emphasizing India’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the US in emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development. According to sources, the two leaders also explored opportunities for deeper cooperation in entrepreneurship and governance.

Elon Musk arrived at the venue accompanied by his three young children, who were seen sitting alongside him during the discussions. Neuralink director Shivon Zilis was also present. In a heartwarming gesture, PM Modi gifted Musk’s children three books: The Crescent Moon by Rabindranath Tagore, The Great RK Narayan Collection, and Panchatantra.
The meeting highlighted India’s growing engagement with global tech leaders as part of its mission to become a hub for innovation and space exploration. Musk and PM Modi have previously met on multiple occasions, with the Prime Minister having visited Tesla’s San Jose facility in 2015.

As part of his US visit, PM Modi also met US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, alongside External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval. Later, he engaged in discussions with India-origin entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and newly appointed US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

The visit is expected to pave the way for enhanced Indo-US cooperation in multiple sectors, with trade, defense partnerships, and technological innovation at the forefront of discussions. PM Modi and President Biden are set to address a joint press conference, where key agreements and strategic initiatives will be announced.
